Dallas, Texas - Dallas Peace Center -- 8/19/2010
For 28 years, the Dallas Peace Center, the oldest and largest peace and justice organization in North Texas, has provided support, volunteers and resources for education, dialogue and action in areas that range from nuclear proliferation to non-violent toys, from ending the occupation of Iraq to preventing an attack on Iran, from honoring our earth to honoring all people on the earth. It has become a hub for meeting, networking and planning for a better, more peaceful world either through its in-house committees or by assisting other organizations in their work. As a volunteer driven organization, the direction of DPC’s efforts has often depended on the interests and energy of its constituents.
Join the Dallas Peace Center on August 19 at the Irving Arts Center, 333 North MacArthur Blvd. in Irving.
Reception at 6:00pm, program at 7:00pm. Tickets are $35 each or 10 for $325. To purchase tickets go to,

The earth's core, consisting largely of iron, helps balance our spinning planet. On the other hand, the core of too many of today's prominent political leaders consists almost entirely of unintended irony, which tends to make them go all wobbly on their political stands. This might be comical were it not so destructive for our nation.
